Director
Frank Stanisic
Frank Stanisic has over 35 years architectural and urban design experience and is responsible for design and client liaison. He has worked in architectural practices in Sydney, Melbourne, London and the USA. In 1991 he established Stanisic Architects, specialising in architecture, urbanism and interior design. He has been directly involved in a range of architectural projects undertaken in the office, primarily urban housing, mixed-use buildings and cultural buildings. He also provides advice in design competitions and brief writing. In 1996 Frank was a finalist of the Green Square Urban Design Ideas Competition and went on to prepare the groundbreaking Structure Plan for Green Square for the former South Sydney Council, the largest urban renewal project in Sydney.

Stanisic Architects, under Frank’s design leadership, has designed innovative, award winning architectural projects that have been recognised by the Australian Institute of Architects at a state and national level. Over the years he has participated in numerous architectural design competitions including Pyrmont Point, La Defense Paris, Darwin Parliament House, First Government House site and Honeysuckle Ideas. He was competition adviser and brief writer for the Circular Quay Urban Design Ideas Competition and the Homebush Bay Urban Design Studio. He has sat on design juries, award panels and design advisory committees. He was the RAIA representative on the Urban Design Advisory Committee (UDAC) for Ultimo-Pyrmont. Frank is the current chairman of the Architectural Review Advisory Panel (ARAP) at Sutherland Shire Council.

Since 1987 Frank has been strongly involved in senior design studio as both a teacher and visiting critic at the Universities of Sydney, New South Wales and Technology, Sydney. He teaches regularly in the Master of Architectural Design (MAD), the Master of Urban Design and Development (MUDD) at UNSW and senior design studio at UTS Sydney.

Jason Nowosad
At the core of Stanisic Architects stands Jason Nowosad, our esteemed Principal, whose architectural journey spans over 15 years within the practice. A visionary with a pivotal role in shaping the evolution of our firm, Jason has been instrumental in steering seminal projects that have garnered prestigious architectural awards. His prowess as a highly skilled architect and urban designer extends across a diverse spectrum, from mixed-use developments, commercial spaces, and multiple housing projects to educational institutions, interiors, and expansive urban endeavors, ranging from 1,000sqm to 300,000sqm.

Jason's commitment to urban design and architecture reflects a profound interest in typology, social interaction, and the public domain. His extensive expertise traverses all facets of project delivery, from planning proposals and competition briefs to concept design, presentations to planning panels, and the meticulous handling of construction documentation using Revit BIM. With a portfolio extending across Sydney and Asia, Jason has overseen and managed the design, documentation, and construction of numerous impactful projects.

In his role as Principal, Jason embodies a persona marked by precision, accuracy, reliability, and systematic problem-solving. His clear and direct communication style, coupled with excellent project management and writing skills, positions him as a linchpin within our practice. As a key contributor, Jason's knowledge and approach elevate Stanisic Architects, making him an indispensable asset and an exemplar of architectural excellence within the company.
